Friday Night Old School Raiding 9/30

Going to try and make a run every Friday for transmog gear or just old school raiding for fun. Will make a new post every week with a poll to see where people would like to go. It's always up to change though if we get a bunch of people on that want to do something different. Going to try and start around 7-8 server every week, most people seemed to get online closer to 8 last week.

I'd be up for anything BC and beyond. Since All of us can solo MC (kinda need to duo BWL, first boss cannot be soloed), AQ20/40. Theres a few things from BC raids that I'd like to get on several characters.

I just need a token from the robot guy in TK. Other than that I'll tag along to get whatever achievements I don't have yet, I haven't done a lot of raids, mainly BC/LK.

I would like Gruul and Mags on my warrior so I can complete my warriors PVP set, missing chest and pants of whatever tier that was.

I played the beta for a couple months, notice what I'm playing now...

Don't get me wrong its pretty good. Just not any better, or different, than wow.

I dropped my reserved copy down to a normal edition from the Collectors for that game. I cannot justify $149 for all that crap for a online MMO. Especially when that much money can get me 2 other games I want this year... ES: Skyrim, and Saints Row 3.

That said, I demand that a warning be placed on threads that mention Gruul's Lair or the boss itself. I'm getting weird looks at work because my eye is twitching and won't stop. That is not exaggeration.

We can definitely do a few bc raids in one night. Ive never been to Gruul or Maggy so those would be cool. We can always throw in something like Sunwell or BT as well.

Shea, I cannot wait for Saints Row 3. That Game looks amazing and the first two were great, especially 2. It and Forza 4 are the only two console games I really want this year.

You wasn't there Selk. LOL it was so funny. I know you have seen bosses or even mobs bug out from time to time and do unexpected things. Well Gruul on a weekly bases would bug out once and come through the doors, and sometimes down the hallway...to kill Csilla(irenke). WEEKLY WITHOUT FAIL! I believe this traumatized our dear irenke and there is no recourse. However it is funny as hell for those of us that got to watch it. I still love you Irenke.

It was horrible. It was inhumane. And what Tanzy has outlined is absolutely correct: regardless of how the fight progressed (or even if it actually began), my human priestess would end up as a bloody smear on the bottom of Gruul's fist. Every week. Multiple times in a single raiding day.

Without fail.

I would literally be out-of-combat at the entrance of the damned cave and, when engaged, he would run pass the horde of characters pew-pewing him to come and kill my priest. And then mysteriously reset, leaving the rest of the raid there to laugh at my misery (and repair bills). And we spent months on this boss as everyone other than the healers got to swap out their alts to get geared out because we were supposedly waiting on getting the gold to purchase tanks their resistance sets.

There is a very specific, very valid reason that my eye twitches every time that I see/hear/think Gruul's name. And it's because I fuckin' hate him.

Fuckin'.

Your choice to play WoW over SWTOR has zero bearing on my interests or how I will enjoy the game.
